Halloween - Visiting the Petting Zoo and Pumpkins with Grandma and Grandpa

Okay so it's been 6 months since I've posted... we've been having fun, working hard and getting ready for the arrival of Evie's baby brother.

Here are some photos from the second half of the year. :) I have since renamed the blog to set expectations ...

In August we went to Myrtle Beach - actually Ocean Isle - with Grandma and Grandpa. Evie loved running on the sand and playing in the ocean. It was very hot but we made the best of it and had a great time.

Then in September we went to Smith Mountain Lake with Mema and Papa. It was fun, but a little nerve-wracking with Evie - she was still a little unsteady on her feet and constantly wanted to go up and down the millions of steps to the lake from the house. Then once there, she liked to dart around the dock, giving me heart failure repeatedly. There was no beach were we were, just a straight drop into the lake. So, in hindsight, not the best place for toddlers. Plus Evie was in her "mommy-monster" phase, where she only wanted me and she just wouldn't give me a break. But it was good to be away anyway and hang out with Mema and Papa. Matt and I also went to visit our lake lot at Heron Pointe on Leesville Lake and dream about someday having our own lake house to visit.
